Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 August 2026 · Effective from: 17 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of the website at turbocue.com. By browsing the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

1. What this site is

TurboCue is an informational and editorial catalogue. It describes free-to-play mobile games that are published on Google Play by their developers. We do not host, sell, distribute or modify any application, and we are not a store: every download button opens the official Google Play listing, where the developer's own terms apply.

Editorial notes on this site are the opinion of the TurboCue desk, formed from play sessions with each title. Opinions are not statements of fact, and your experience of a game may differ from ours. Star ratings and review counts shown on the cards are reprinted from the Google Play listing at the time of the last update and can change at any moment on the store side.

2. Advertising disclosure

The catalogue, the editorial notes and the ratings are free to read, with no account and no form standing in front of them. The one paid product on this site is the optional Plus membership set out in section 3, which adds material on top of the catalogue and holds nothing back from it.

TurboCue is supported by paid promotion of games and by Plus memberships. Some placements in the catalogue and some outbound links are advertising, arranged under a commercial agreement with a developer or an advertising network. That support is what keeps access to the catalogue open to everyone.

Advertising does not buy a rating or a favourable note, and neither does a membership. Ratings are reprinted from Google Play as the store shows them, and editorial notes are written from play sessions before any commercial arrangement is agreed. A promotional placement can change how prominently a title appears; it cannot change what we say about it, and it cannot change the score shown on the card.

The games listed are free to download from Google Play. Anything that happens inside a game once you have installed it is a matter between you, the developer and Google — TurboCue is not a party to it and takes no part in it.

3. Plus membership

Alongside the free catalogue, TurboCue offers Plus, an optional paid membership. Plus adds extended write-ups with detailed notes on mechanics, tempo and difficulty, early access to a write-up before it reaches the catalogue, a weekly e-mail digest from the desk, and the archive of past issues. Nothing that is free to read today is moved behind Plus.

The rate is A$4.90 per month or A$39 per year, quoted in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST where it applies. Plus seats are released in stages: joining the list puts you in the queue, we confirm a seat by e-mail, and billing starts only from the date that confirmation is accepted. Nothing is charged before that point, and joining the list on its own creates no obligation to pay.

You may cancel at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation fee. Access runs to the end of the period already paid for and the membership then simply lapses instead of renewing. To cancel, use the link in any digest or write to the address in section 10.

Payments are taken by an external payment provider. TurboCue does not receive, process or store card numbers or other payment credentials; the provider's own terms and privacy policy govern that part of the transaction. On our side we hold only your e-mail address and the status and dates of your membership, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including the right to a remedy where a service is not supplied with due care and skill or does not match the description given here. If something is wrong with a membership, write to mail@turbocue.com and we will put it right.

4. No affiliation

TurboCue is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to Google LLC, Google Play, or any of the developers or studios whose titles appear in the catalogue. All trade marks are used for identification only.

5. Intellectual property

Game titles, icons, screenshots, artwork and trade marks shown on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are reproduced for the purpose of review and identification. If you own rights in material shown here and want it removed or credited differently, write to us and we will act promptly.

The editorial text, the arrangement of the catalogue, the site design, its layout and its code are the property of TurboCue. You may quote short passages with a link back to the source. Copying whole entries, or the catalogue as a whole, for republication is not permitted without written permission.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
  • Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other visitors.
  • Do not present TurboCue content as your own or use our name in a way that suggests an endorsement.
  • Do not submit an e-mail address through the subscription form unless it is yours to submit.

7. External links

The catalogue links to Google Play and, occasionally, to other third-party pages. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your data. Once you follow an outbound link, the terms and the privacy policy of that destination apply.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We take care with accuracy, but we do not warrant that every description, rating or screenshot is current, complete or error-free, or that the site will be uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by law, TurboCue is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from any decision to install a game listed here, or from any content on a third-party site reached through a link. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the project changes. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
